U.S. Ad Sales May Rise 3.5% In '10

U.S. advertising sales may increase 3.5% this year as companies boost their national marketing spending, according to Barclays Capital, reports Bloomberg. Ad sales may climb to $167.6 billion in 2010; analysts predict companies will spend more on market products and services, particularly at the national level. National broadcast network television ads, including those aired during the Olympics and World Cup, may rise 7.8%, while Web ads may jump 8.9%, says Barclays.
