Tom Purcell has been promoted to executive producer "The Colbert Report" on Comedy Central. Previously, he served as co-executive producer. Purcell, who won a Writer's Guild Award for the show in
2008, has been with "Colbert" since its October 2005 launch. He has also written for "The Cosby Show" and "Grounded For Life." "Tom Purcell is a boundless source of energy, intellect and comedy," said
