The New York Times may be taking some hits, but it's still opening bureaus this year. The newspaper, per Bloomberg, will open bureaus this year in Phoenix, Arizona, and Kansas City, Missouri.
The staff appointments will happen by summer's end. The bureau in Kansas City was closed in 1992.
