Zebus to Serve Interactive Video Commercials

  • March 26, 2001
Zebus Group Inc., which streams interactive TV advertisements in any web environment, regardless of a user's player-type, browser-type, or connection speed, has launched a feature that will allow them to serve interactive video commercials to users who do not have a media player installed on their computer. When a user arrives at a Zebus-enabled web page, Zebus auto-detects the user's connection speed, player type and browser type. If a player is detected, Zebus serves the advertisement via the player available on the user's computer. If no player is detected, Zebus now uses enhanced java technology to stream interactive video ads embedded in a Web page or delivered via a pop-up window. "Zebus' ad-serving technology has always been focused on providing the richest media experience to the broadest possible audience," said Dr. Praveen Varma, CEO. "With our expanded platform, we can now serve interactive video commercials to virtually any user, regardless of their connection speed, browser type, player type or absence of a player."
