Southwest Serving Corona Extra With Lime

  • May 10, 2010
Southwest Airlines will start serving Corona Extra with a lime on its flights this week for $5 per can. The airline also serves Bud Light, Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra, and Heineken.

Southwest will be testing Corona Extra onboard through September, and at that time and based on customer demand, the airline will determine whether to continue.

The airline will host a "My Corona Moment" photo contest at its @SouthwestAir Twitter account. It will encourage people to submit a photo, using the hashtag #mycorona, of their own Corona moments. The best photo submission will win two roundtrip tickets on Southwest and a three-night stay at a Sterling Resort in Panama City Beach, Fla. --Karl Greenberg

I believe that Southwest Airlines will see Corona being sold more on trips headed to beach vacation destinations. Corona is a beer that we associate with vacations.
