Deborah L. Acklin was named president and CEO of WQED Multimedia. Acklin has served in multiple executive roles at WQED, a leading PBS station in Pittsburgh. A 14-year station vet, she has managed
the day-to-day operations and strategies for its three TV channels, two radio stations and an interactive Web-based learning channel, as well as publishing and marketing communications. She developed
the programming that became the popular "Doo Wop" music specials for PBS and oversaw the production of national documentaries, including "The War That Made America."
