AOL's Uva To Head Omnicom's OMD Media Unit

The world's No. 3 advertising firm Omnicom Group Inc., on Thursday hired AOL Time Warner executive Joe Uva as global president and chief executive of its OMD media agency unit, which is responsible for media buying and planning for Omnicom's BBDO Worldwide, DDB Worldwide and TBWA Worldwide units and for media-only clients. Uva, currently president of sales and marketing at AOL's Turner Broadcasting Sales division, will assume his new post on Jan. 1.
