Online advertising in the UK gambling sector has increased by over 50% in the last 12 months, highlighting the increased use of betting via the Internet, according to a new report from LemonAd. In
October 2000 the number of online gambling campaigns stood at 130 and 12 months later the figure has grown to 203, an increase of 56 per cent. The total number of online gambling campaigns over the
year was 1,003 from 293 advertisers, placed across 305 UK sites.
