Independent children's programmer DIC Entertainment will launch a three-hour programming block for children designed to help TV stations meet their FCC core requirements, the company said. The new
programming will begin Sept. 1. The DIC Kid's Network, as it's called, will effectively reach 100% of U.S. households on more than 400 stations airing in every DMA in the United States. Premiering on
major broadcast outlets, including Fox, WB and UPN affiliates, the network offers three separate programming feeds, along with a Spanish language feed on every series for the SAP channel. DIC retained
Tribune Entertainment to promote the network as an alternative advertising tool for companies trying to reach the market.
