General Motors Launches Certified Service

  • February 7, 2011
General Motors is offering "Certified Service" at all U.S. Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac dealerships. The effort is meant to drive dealership loyalty well beyond purchase, said Steve Hill, GM North American VP of customer care and aftersales, in a statement.

"Certified Service brings together many of the necessary elements for creating positive, long-lasting relationships with our customers," Hill said. "It's more than a name change - it's a commitment from the highest levels of this company to provide superior treatment, convenience and value during every service visit.

Elements of the service include redesigned service bays, and national retail programs to compete with quick-service chains, according to the company.

The company started promoting the service this month with a national ad campaign comprising TV spots touting oil change, four-tire rotation and a 27-point inspection; and ACDelco Professional DuraStop ceramic brake pad rebate offer.

Dealers have changed their service sites online to Certified Service, and the corporate consumer service web site is now MyCertifiedService.com.
