The National Retail Federation has handed out its annual Racie advertising prizes, with Ralph Lauren winning the "Best of the Best" award for its digital efforts. Saks Fifth Avenue taking top honors
for an integrated marketing campaign, Lord & Taylor winning for direct mail, and the Home Depot for its efforts on behalf of its gift-card business.
In addition, Kohl's earned the Peter Glen
Award for giving back to the community. Its Back-to-School, Kohl's Cares 2010 campaign gave away $500,000 to 20 schools, totaling $10 million in charitable donations. (The contest allowed students to
submit ideas about how schools could use the money.) The awards are given by the Retail Advertising & Marketing Association, a division of the NRF.
