Madison Square Garden (MSG) has named Alex Diaz SVP and general manager for the Arena. Diaz will oversee all facility operations for Madison Square Garden, the Theater at Madison Square Garden and the MSG Training Center.

  The venue holds more than 400 live sports and entertainment events annually, and getting a full renovation with built-in sponsorship platforms for a roster of top-shelf brands.

Diaz's responsibilities will include building operations, engineering, food and beverage, security, event production, box office operations and guest experience. He is also involved in MSG's transformation. He will also be involved in MSG Sports, MSG Entertainment and MSG Media collaborations.

Prior to joining MSG, Diaz was the senior vice president and general manager of arena operations for Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, where he oversaw the development of the Barclays Center, the future home of the New Jersey Nets.
