General Mills Plans To Buy Controlling Interest In Yoplait

General Mills is planning to buy controlling interest in France-based Yoplait for $1.15 billion. General Mills, which has held U.S. distribution rights to Yoplait since 1977, said it would buy 51% of the company's Yoplait operations and half of the entity that holds licensing rights to the name. Yoplait is the second-biggest yogurt brand worldwide after Danone. General Mills expects to close the deal this summer.
