Hearst To Close On Hachette Deal

Hearst is about to close on its nearly $900 million deal to buy Lagardère's magazines outside France, including New York-based Hachette Filipacchi Media, reports Adweek. Staffers will learn soon whether they are part of the package. Hearst titles include Cosmopolitan; it will now become the No 2 U.S. publisher in terms of ad pages.
