In the "second high-level resignation at Disney this month," Carolina Lightcap unexpectedly announced she was leaving her post as president of Disney Channels Worldwide, reports Ronald Grover.
The first exiting Disney exec was Andrew P. Mooney, who resigned as chairman of the consumer products unit earlier this month "to seek a larger executive role" (or is that a reminder of the typical
corporate code for "let go" discussed in all the stories about Carol Bartz' refreshing honesty about her Yahoo firing?)
Lightcap, an 11-year Disney veteran who had held her last position for
fewer than two years, will be replaced by Gary Marsh, who was named president and chief creative officer of the Disney Channels.
