Fortune Brands' Home Unit To Invest In Products, Ads

Fortune Brands Home & Security Inc. is ready to invest in new products, new advertising and possibly even acquisitions, its chief executive said Monday, just hours before its spin-off from Fortune Brands Inc.

CEO Chris Klein told Reuters that when the maker of Moen faucets, Simonton windows and Master Lock locks becomes a pure-play company, it will no longer have to compete for resources and will be able to invest in more projects.
