Virgin Galactic Opens Spaceport, No Flights Yet

Virgin Galactic has cut the ribbon on its spaceport in New Mexico. Called "Spaceport America," Virgin Galactic's LEED-certified, airport-looking building is also equipped with geothermal heating and cooling, for what it's worth. The official name of the terminal is the "Virgin Galactic Gateway to Space," a moniker announced by Branson's two children while rappelling together from the roof the building. Apparently 150 people have already paid deposits on the $200,000 tickets into space and 430 hold reservations.
