Toyota Motor Corp. President Akio Toyoda told a gathering of dealers in Las Vegas that the automaker would keep growing sustainably by making ever better and cleaner cars. Toyoda, grandson of
the Japanese automaker's founder, made the remarks at the Toyota World Convention, held roughly every four years since 1984.
The themes evoked at the convention drew from the Toyota Global
Vision announced in March, with its objectives to build better cars and develop clean technologies.
"Growth means changing in step with changes in society," Toyoda said. "Only by promoting
change can sustainable growth be created. Toyota can achieve sustainable growth if we can continue making better cars for people."
