IFC Turns Ad-Supported Network

IFC, the AMC-owned cable channel, is remaking itself, reports Adweek. It's going from a sponsorship-supported cable network outlet for indie films into an ad-supported network with a new focus on original prime-time programming. The change comes in January, starting with the second seasons of two of its offbeat shows: "Portlandia" and "The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret."
