Food services and management company Sodexo plans to install Coca-Cola Freestyle vending machines in more than 100 of its U.S. locations, including hospitals, colleges, office buildings and museums
and acquariums.
Sodexo has just installed one of the interactive machines -- which can offer well over 100 varieties, including customized beverages -- in a Brickstone Grill and Eatery on the
University of Wisconsin-Parkside campus. That machine's selections include 70+ diet and low-cal beverages and 90+ caffeine-free beverages.
Coca-Cola reports that the Freestyle is now available
in nearly 2,100 outlets and more than 75 markets in 43 U.S. states, including Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Phoenix, San Francisco, Seattle and
Washington, D.C.
The company confirms that it will continue to expand the machine's locations throughout 2012.--Karlene Lukovitz
