The Associate Press has cut a content deal with Bankrate.com. Beginning March 17, AP will air a series of consumer finance reports called “The Personal Finance Minute,” which will clear on nearly
1,000 stations nationwide. The 60-second features won’t be branded with the Bankrate name, nor will they have an accompanying spot. Instead, the content will be based on Bankrate.com data, and will
include interviews with the site’s money experts. Financial terms weren’t disclosed, but BankRate already has made some of its money back: its stock jumped 12% Monday on news of the AP deal.
