The  Cure app represents a new medium for social games originally created in  HTML5 and designed to play within the Hotmail inbox platform. The
missions, items, and characters were created for the original sponsors,  AXE and Microsoft MSN, and mostly aimed at the Hispanic market. The  game’s cross-marketing campaigns leverage social
networks, such as  Facebook, by drawing on "Likes" to help characters regain energy on the  AXE Facebook page. When signed in through a Windows Live ID, Microsoft  can follow users across Microsoft
services from Hotmail to Messenger to  Xbox LIVE.
