Online Marketing Excellence by Industry Sector and Websites Activism/Public Service: Corporate Responsibility, Getting Brooklyn Black In Business for VH1

Realizing how poorly Black-owned businesses were faring in the pandemic, VH1’s “Black Ink Crew: New York,” in its ninth season, partnered with the digital pub Black-Owned Brooklyn. The two identified 20 Black-owned Brooklyn businesses that needed a boost to go from surviving to thriving. Each company selected received a no-strings-attached check to spend on their business, along with social promotion from @BlackOwnedBKLYN and @VH1, which shared the 20 companies’ pandemic stories. The companies were also added to a storefront media network for a long-term revenue boost.
