At this time last year, MLB.com At Bat 11 could fairly have been dubbed the king of sports apps. Less-serious fans availed themselves of
live audio feeds and video highlights, while baseball nuts basked in the stat tools and pitch-tracking data. It felt like a complete product, which made the recent additions—designed to ease
video search for archival footage and allow pausing and rewinding game coverage via a DVR-like control—even more stunning. Then there were the tweaks that targeted regular game attendees,
like "At the Ballpark", which facilitated social-media check ins and in-seat food delivery. The highest compliment one can pay At Bat? It's hard to remember following baseball without it.
