Google released 40 updates to search features in February. The changes relate to sitelinks, autocomplete, UI elements, indexing, synonyms, SafeSearch and more. Amit Singhal, senior VP and Google
fellow, calls the changes subtle, yet important. For example, the changes include an update to Google's Panda algorithm. This launch refreshes data in the Panda system, making it more accurate and
more sensitive to recent changes on the Web," he writes. It also updates how Google deals with adult content through SafeSearch. Now, irrelevant adult content is less likely to show up for many
queries.
