Russian Programming To Be Broadcast in D.C.

MHz Networks and Russian World TV have signed a five-year agreement to broadcast more than 40 hours a week of programming around Washington, D.C., to serve its growing Russian audience. The programming includes Russian movies, situation comedies, children's programming, documentaries and music. MHz already airs a Russian World TV news program weekday afternoons and an entertainment block Thursday evenings. MHz Networks, which is made up of two independent public television stations broadcasting throughout the Washington, D.C. Metropolitan area, reflects the diverse cultural tastes of a unique, globally minded audience with programming devoted exclusively to international, educational and arts content.
