Sportvision Inc. said its Yellow 1st & Ten line will be featured on all ESPN and ESPN2 NFL and NCAA college football telecasts in 2003. The announcement, whereby ESPN and ESPN2 are the first networks
to use the Yellow Line - the virtual first down system - on its entire football schedule and for more telecasts than any other network, expands an already existing agreement between Sportvision and
ESPN. The Yellow Line, which has become a standard for viewing professional and college football games on television, will now be available on more than 160 televised NFL and NCAA football games on
ESPN and ESPN2. In addition to providing 1st and Ten technology for ESPN, Sportvision will also be providing its Premium Telestrator products for ESPN's NFL Sunday Night Football and Thursday night
college football broadcasts. This technology, the 'Virtual Playbook,' has been a staple of Sunday Night Football coverage on ESPN for the past two seasons. ESPN analysts will use the Virtual
Playbook to draw lines and animated rush and pass charts directly on the field, allowing them to utilize various symbols for enhanced diagrams and simpler explanations.
