Google on Friday marked the first anniversary of its AdSense program and added some new features to simplify things for publishers. A new reporting feature enables publishers to measure the
performance of various groups of pages, ad formats, colors, and ad placements individually through units it refers to as "channels." For example, Google says the enhancements will allow publishers
to track the performance of a leaderboard ad format in contrast to a tower, or to compare motorcycle pages to auto pages by assigning each group to a specific channel and comparing the results.
Google says the new features will help publishers with multiple websites to track revenue per individual site.
