PrePlay, a predictive game studio, has secured $3.1 million in Series A funding led by social media entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk, RSE Ventures’ CEO Matt Higgins and other angel investors. The monies will be used to expand staff and develop PrePlay’s suite of games, including baseball and other entertainment-related content. The deal follows the launch of NHL PrePlay, the company’s predictive game for hockey, which was licensed by the NHL and included features and media from title sponsor Molson Canadian.
