AmEx Ups Murphy To VP, Custom Media

American Express Publishing Corp. promoted Sean Murphy, director of content for Custom Media, to vice president, Custom Media. He is responsible for overseeing editorial, creative, client services, marketing and sales for the Custom Media division. Previously, he ran his own content strategy consultancy. He was also content director of Hearst Integrated Media and editorial director of Custom Publishing.
