Men's Health has promoted Jack Essig to the post of associate publisher. Previously advertising director, Essig is credited with the title's recent surge in ad pages and revenues: ad revenue was up
22% in 2002 and projects to finish 2003 up another 12%. In his new role, Essig will continue to lead the mag's ad-sales team and will contribute to the strategic direction of several MH properties,
including menshealth.com, MH bookazines and special interest publications. "[Advertisers] respect his belief in our product and always learn something useful about our business from time spent with
him," said Men's Health vice president/publisher MaryAnn Bekkedahl in a press release. "Jack consistently provides effective solutions to our business challenges."
