WeatherBug announced today a partnership with Verizon Wireless, whose mobile Web 2.0 customers now have access to live WeatherBug reports, and can upload camera phone images for all the WeatherBug
community to see. The fact that the company provides live neighborhood weather from over 7,000 of its own weather stations in the United States--and generates reports every second--contributed to
Verizon's choice, according to a company representative. In September 2004, WeatherBug had over 21 million unique monthly users, according to comScore Media Metrix.
