McKinney Taps CP+B's Patel As New Media Chief

McKinney, the Durham, NC-based unit of South Korea’s Cheil Worldwide, has named a new media chief, Swapnil Patel, who joins from MDC Partners Crispin Porter + Bogusky, where he was group media director.

Patel, who will have the title of director of media, brings a focus on media creativity, which is one of the core strategies of McKinney.

At CP+B, Patel managed national and local media planning for Domino’s Pizza.  He also worked as a creative media strategy partner to marry creative ideas with the media plans generated by partner agencies KraftOne (now Starcom and Mediavest), Horizon Media and Optimum Sports.

Earlier in his career, Patel was a media planner at Universal McCann in New York for Lowe’s Home Improvement.

He started his career in advertising at Lowe Worldwide where he developed media plans for various Johnson & Johnson brands and Valvoline.

Born in India, Patel also lived in Tanzania before moving to the United States.
