Wieden + Kennedy Logs Off AOL, BBDO Dials Up

Wieden + Kennedy Monday it resigned its portion of the America Online ad account, citing "creative differences." The Portland, Ore. agency handled the estimated $50 million piece of business since June 2003. Wieden created spots featuring the Teutul family of the TV show "Orange County Choppers," for AOL's Super Bowl 2004 effort. A spokeswoman for AOL said, "[Wieden] is a very talented agency, we just had differing points of view." Wieden was hired last year to do brand work for the Dulles, Va.-based company. The account will be consolidated at BBDO Worldwide, which had split the business with Wieden.
