The CLIO Awards has announced that The Coca-Cola Company will be the inaugural recipient of its new Brand Icon Award.
The Brand Icon Award will be presented annually to a brand that has
transcended the product or service it provides to become a permanent fixture in popular culture.
Coca-Cola will be recognized for its exceptional history of creating iconic brand
executions over its 127 years, ranging from its original contour bottle, to its Santa Claus, polar bears and Happiness Factory.
Pio Schunker, SVP, integrated marketing communications for
Coca-Cola North America Group, will accept the special award during this year's CLIO awards, on My 15 at New York City's Museum of Natural History.
