PubMatic, a sales-side platform, today announced a partnership with Lotame, a data management platform (DMP). According to the release, PubMatic President Kirk McDonald believes that "data is the gateway to the publishing ecosystem," and that the partnership with Lotame and their "Crowd Control" DMP will allow PubMatic users to better organize their data. PubMatic also stated that the partnership was done to address the industry's "moment towards programmatic buying and selling of advertising inventory."
