The General Reports 10th Consecutive Quarter Of Growth

Generating almost exactly half of its parent’s worldwide total, Chevrolet posted sales of 1.18 million vehicles during the first quarter of 2013, its 10th consecutive quarterly record – despite the continuing slide of the European automotive market. General Motors itself saw sales jump 3.6% for the quarter, to 2.36 million worldwide. The industry overall grew just 1.5% year-over-year. That allowed GM to boost its global market share to 11.4%, up from 11.2% during the first quarter of 2012.
