Rallyhood, a cloud-based community and collaboration platform, has secured an extended Series A financing round, adding $1.7 million to the $1.5 million raised in August 2012. The company will use
the financing from unknown investors to support partners like schools, scouts, health care providers and nonprofits.
During the past year, Rallyhood formed partnerships with large
organizations including Dell Children’s Medical Center, LiveStrong Foundation, Komen Austin and Girl Scout councils. The company's Web and mobile app allows groups to centralize
communication.
Rallyhood also previously received $750,000 in Angel funding that it dedicated to proof of concept. With the addition of $1.5 million in Series A funding in 2012, the company
plans to build out its technology and business model.
