Simpli.fi Simplifies Malware Protection, Partners With RiskIQ

  • September 10, 2013

Simpli.fi, a demand-side platform (DSP), has partnered with RiskIQ to guard against malware in digital advertising. Additionally, Simpli.fi's Co-Founder and CTO Paul Harrison has joined the Advisory Council of the Online Trust Alliance (OTA). The OTA is a non-profit organization dedicated to solving security and privacy issues within the industry. Simpli.fi claims that they are the first DSP to become a member of the OTA.

The company hopes that in partnering with RiskIQ they will be able to "better identify and mitigate malware sources, as well as isolate and identify low-quality and non-human traffic prior to bidding." In the statement announcing the partnership, Harrison said that Simpli.fi will now be able to help clients minimize spend on bot traffic and scan ads for malware. "Not only does this help protect both the consumer and our customers' brands, it safeguards the campaign investment," he claimed.
