Tapestry, the multicultural media services unit of Starcom MediaVest Group, today is expected to unveil a new media planning tool aimed at the African American community. The system, dubbed
SOUL-u-tion, utilizes a two-step process combining a variety of data from syndicated and proprietary research services with customized in-home observations and journals on the media consumption
patterns of African American consumers. The new system will be outlined during a one-day conference being hosted by Tapestry in Chicago today, which will feature a keynote by Rev. Jesse Jackson.
