German Companies Begin Warning About Email Password Theft

Deutsche Telekom, Freenet, gmx.de, Kabel Deutschland, Vodafone and web.de have begun informing users whose email addresses and passwords have been stolen.
German officials revealed last week that 18 million email addresses and passwords were stolen. The 
victims are now being told about their exposure. Many of the accounts were being used to send out spam email.
