Ballerz has a unique background in that it was created by active duty U.S. Navy sailors to boost morale. The app helps streamline the process of playing a pick-up game. It combines basketball with social networking, GPS game location, and peer evaluation. Users create profiles and teams that friends or other in their area can join. GPS notifies users of games in a predetermined radius. After games are over, users can rate the competition and be rated.
