The inevitable parent-child conversation (Child: “Can I have that?” Parent: “Do you have your allowance?” Child: “No, but I have $4 in my piggy bank”) need not result in the usual ending: No money in piggy bank, toy in hand, zero financial lessons learned. PiggyBot helps teach children the value of savings. Parents set up allowance reminders and indicate how much should go to spend-it, share-it and save-it. Kids snap pictures of things they want and assign a dollar value. When they get their spend-it allowance, they can see whether they have enough money.
