The company that helped revolutionize first screen viewing is innovating just as aggressively in rethinking the second screen. The Tivo app not only makes the DVR fully portable with TV anywhere and downloadable recorded content. It also ties background info to what you are viewing, allows video to be “thrown” from device to TV, and provides a dashboard of currently available shows that match user preference and viewing history. The app is moving towards a second screen model that personalizes the first screen experience.
