Google is now allowing users to Gmail users to use accented characters and non-Latin characters in their email address names. Users an now create email addresses with these characters or
update their existing addresses to suit their native languages. The update is possible thanks to an update in email standards established by the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF) two years ago.
