The travel industry experienced an 800 percent increase in online security threats between the first and second quarter of 2014, according to Agari's latest report. For example, according
to the report, Delta Airlines was the victim of an email scam this year. Spammers sent out an email pretending to be from the airline, telling recipients that their credit card has
been "successfully processed" and called recipients to share their flight information. The identities of Expedia, Airbnb and Booking.com were also used by spammers to send scam emails this
year.
