The Advertising Council announced yesterday that
DAVID BELL, Vice Chairman, The Interpublic Group of Companies, Inc., has been elected as Chairman of The Advertising Council. Bell will serve in
the position for one year. A board member since 1997, Bell has served as Vice Chairman of the Ad Council since June of 1999. As Chairman, he succeeds
EDWARD T. REILLY, President and CEO,
American Management Association.
J. ANDREA ALSTRUP, Corporate Vice President, Advertising, Johnson & Johnson, will serve as Vice Chair, Advertiser this year and succeed Bell as Chair next May.
