In select overseas markets, Google is testing offline video playback for YouTube mobile users. For the moment, the feature is limited to Android devices owners in India, Indonesia and the Philippines.
“Google has specifically picked these three markets because of the importance of mobile Internet, coupled with the lack of people with data packages — not to mention the sometimes
frustratingly poor quality of internet, too,” TechCrunch reports. It is not known if or when the feature will become available to U.S. consumers.
