Smarter Remarketer, a marketing automation platform for retailers, on Tuesday announced changes to its brand name and leadership.

In conjunction with a rebranding -- the company now operates as SmarterHQ -- the firm has elevated Michael Osborne from president to CEO. Former CEO Howard Bates will operate as executive chairman, per a release.

Osborne joined SmarterHQ in September 2014 after serving as CRO of Bazaarvoice.
