Netflix recently tested some teaser ads for its own original programming both before and after several TV shows, but the company says it has no plans to run third-party ads. “What Netflix is
doing isn’t exactly new,” TechCrunch notes. “Premium cable networks like HBO or Showtime … have historically teased upcoming shows or new seasons of fan favorites.”
